Dear Parent / Carer
CAFOD’S “Walk for Water” & Father Hudson’s Lenten Appeal : Own Clothes Day Fundraiser :
Thursday 1st April 2021
Arrangements are underway for our annual Lenten fundraiser. This Lent, we will be supporting CAFOD’s Walk for Water appeal as well Father Hudson’s “Good Shepherd Appeal.”
To mark the end of the school term, we will be having a virtual Liturgy of the Hours to celebrate Maundy Thursday led by our priest chaplain Fr Marco. In addition to this, we are inviting all learners to come to school in their own clothes for a minimum donation of £1 on ParentPay. All monies collected will be distributed between our two chosen charities. In supporting this fundraiser we are hoping that our current tag line of “Faith in Action is Love and Love in Action is Service” (Saint Teresa of Calcutta) will shine through once again. If you would like to find out more about either one of them, please follow the links below:

Father Hudson’s: Good Shepherd Appeal – Father Hudson’s Care
For those learners who do not have a ParentPay account, then a cash donation on the day can be brought to the Finance Office where collection buckets will be located.
Please be advised that for those learners having PE lessons that day, appropriate PE wear is still required. Please be advised that own clothes must be appropriate and must not contain offensive language/logos.
The PTFA continues to support the refurbishment of the school chapel and has donated £500 this academic year towards the purchase of new Stations of the Cross and a new votive candle holder. The intention of the PTFA is to support the chapel development in its mission of being the heartbeat of the school and a place alive with private and public prayer. If you would like to support this ongoing refurbishment, please email: ptfasjfcc@ctkcc.co.uk for further details.
Yours faithfully
